The new design allows the shield contact to be repeatedly “plugged into” the connection fitting, thus enabling the cables to be pre-assembled. Pre-assembled cable harnesses reduce installation costs, simplify production processes and are user-friendly. The system allows the cables to be prepared on site using the battery-operated AXI PRESS tool. This enables cable harnesses to be repaired and supports the flexible and precise assembly of prototypes. The EVolution EMC cable gland was specifically developed for use in electric vehicles and thus withstands the toughest demands in operation.
