One tool for everything: Applics Studio becomes the central development platform for all controllers and gateways from MRS Electronic
Applics Studio is MRS Electronic's pioneering development environment for programming, configuring, and diagnosing control units in vehicles and mobile machines. It simplifies the programming of controllers that work with CAN, LIN, or input and output signals (I/O), even with little prior knowledge. The software offers an intuitive user interface, supports graphical programming in accordance with IEC 61131-3, and enables diagnostics via CAN, LIN, or J1939. Thanks to its integrated programming functions, Applics Studio is suitable for both development engineers and service applications in the field.
Uniform development standard: Applics Studio completely replaces Developers Studio

In an important step toward standardization, Applics Studio is now completely replacing the previously used Developers Studio. Until now, Developers Studio was primarily used for programming 8-bit and 16-bit controllers and gateways. From now on, all of these MRS products - regardless of their processor architecture - will be programmed using Applics Studio.

“With Applics Studio, we are creating a consistent toolchain for our entire product range. Since we develop our tools entirely in-house, we have full control over technical development. Customers benefit from a modern user interface, powerful diagnostic functions, and intuitive handling,” explains Martin Rentschler, Head of Software Development at MRS Electronic.

Clear benefits for developers and OEMs

The advantages of the changeover are obvious: standardizing the development environment reduces training costs, simplifies handling, and shortens project duration. Developers can configure, program, and test all control units and gateways with just one tool - from compact 8-bit products to powerful 32-bit controllers.

Highlights from Applics Studio

•    Graphical programming with function blocks (IEC 61131-3) or in C

•    Diagnostic, flash, and test functions

•    Fast programming and flexible adaptation in the field

•    Full support for CAN, LIN, J1939, and more

•    Central platform for development, commissioning, and support

In addition, there are several useful functions:

•    Creation of user variables that can be used in graphical programming

•    Simple configuration of CAN telegrams and data points for CAN and CAN FD

•    Individual renaming of module pins for a better overview
