Hardware
SiC power modules for high efficiency under heavy-duty duty cycles. Aurix TC3xx microcontroller. Rugged HV connectors supporting 50–150 mm² cable cross-sections. Modular architecture in stand-alone and integrated packaging options. DC link capacitor and busbar cooling optimised for high continuous current.
Functional safety & cybersecurity
ISO 26262 compliant up to ASIL D. ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE WP.29 cybersecurity compliance. AUTOSAR-compatible SW architecture. CAN FD communication (J1939, UDS, CCP). Built-in blackbox data logging for field failure root-cause analysis.
Compatible motor systems
The HVI350 is compatible with TM4 SUMO motors, TM4 MOTIVE motors, and third-party motors. The picture above shows the inverter paired with a TM4 SUMO LD HV1150 motor — a high-torque internal permanent magnet motor delivering up to 235 kW peak power, 1200 Nm peak torque, at up to 8600 RPM, in a compact axle-mount form factor (304 mm diameter, 83–88 kg).
Applications
The HVI350 series is designed for electric and hybrid vehicle platforms across a wide range of segments: light commercial vehicles, vans and minibuses, medium and heavy-duty trucks, buses, and off-highway machinery. Its wide voltage range (up to 900 Vdc), rugged ingress protection (IP67 / IP6K9K), and modular packaging make it equally suited for central drive configurations and e-Axle integration. The dual 3-phase variant (HVI350-1720-D3) further extends the range to high-power multi-motor architectures.
renco integration support
renco is a Cologne-based EV system integrator and authorised Dana TM4 Value-Added Reseller. Beyond hardware supply, we offer the engineering depth to go from component selection to a validated, running system.
The HVI350's ISO 26262 ASIL D and ISO/SAE 21434 cybersecurity architecture directly aligns with renco's own software development capabilities: we develop VCU software to the same standards, with ASPICE-compliant processes covering functional safety architecture, SecOC, HSM key management, and intrusion detection. For OEMs and integrators who are navigating these requirements for the first time, renco also provides tailored engineering support — helping teams understand what ISO 26262 and automotive cybersecurity compliance means in practice for their projects, and how to build it in from the start.
