DC-DC converter with 1.5 -3kW for hybrid and electric vehicles

For hybrid and electric vehicles, electronic components such as high-voltage energy storage and electric motors play an important role. Depending on the degree of electrification of the vehicle, components from conventional drive concepts are replaced by more efficient ones. Thus, in hybrid or electric vehicles, the generator that supplies the 12V/24V/48V electrical system can be saved. Instead, a DC-DC converter is required, which changes the voltage of the high-voltage energy storage device to the voltage of the electrical system.

The DVCH converter meets the requirements of a vehicle and offers extremely low construction volume and very high efficiency.

It conforms to the available CAN protocols – standard-CAN and J1939 – and is protected against adverse environmental conditions (protection class IP65, IP67 and IP6K9K). The converter is contact cooled, so no extensive cooling concept is required in the vehicle. Thanks to the modular design, customized changes are possible. Several protection and self-protection functions (short-circuit protection, over-temperature protection and no-load protection) are available, in addition to an interlock function.
