Making agricultural machinery smarter and more sustainable with real-time data

Efficiency, durability and sustainability are key for modern agricultural machinery. At iVT Expo, NCTE will present its non-contact torque sensors for OEMs – robust, maintenance-free and seamlessly integrable without modifying existing shafts.

Using magnetostrictive technology, these sensors deliver precise real-time torque and load data for fertilizer spreaders, seed drills, balers, combine harvesters and tractors. Manufacturers benefit from optimized performance, increased machine availability and reduced resource consumption.

The technology helps reduce fuel consumption, optimize spreading quantities and prevent machine failures, supporting more sustainable agriculture. For example, in fertilizer spreaders, sensors enable precise control of spreading discs, reducing fertilizer use by up to 20% without sacrificing efficiency – a clear advantage for cost and environmental impact.

On display at the expo will be the PTO 7300, a plug-in sensor for PTO shafts. It improves machine control, optimizes resource use and extends component lifespan.

NCTE sensors are highly robust and reliable, even in harsh conditions like dirt, vibrations and extreme temperatures.
