Next-generation battery system

Ecovolta’s in-house research and development team has designed a groundbreaking battery solution set to debut in a vehicle developed by Viktor Meili. This advanced battery, equipped with integrated cooling, uses next-generation lithium-ion cells, setting new standards for capacity and efficiency.

The vehicle is engineered for year-round operation in extremely confined spaces. With the integration of the new battery system, it will be capable of completing an entire workday without requiring a recharge, even while simultaneously powering auxiliary equipment such as plows, spreaders and pressure washers.

The lithium-ion battery consists of two units connected in series, delivering a total capacity of 72kWh at 400V, with each unit providing 36kWh. The compact design boasts impressive energy density. Active cooling ensures that the battery can be recharged in under two hours without overheating. The cooling system uses the vehicle’s air-conditioning compressor, which is more efficient than traditional methods.

Once fully integrated, the battery will undergo extensive testing and certification. This battery type will later be added to Ecovolta’s product portfolio, featuring customizable cooling housings tailored for the specific demands of off-highway vehicles.
