Next-generation power distribution units for electrified off-highway vehicles
)
Epec, a provider of intelligent control systems and electrification solutions will feature its latest power distribution units (PDUs) at the expo. The two new PDUs – Epec Flow Mini PDU and Epec Flow MCS PDU – are designed to enhance the efficiency, safety and scalability of electrified off-highway and commercial vehicle applications.
The Epec Flow Mini PDU is a compact, high-performance distribution unit for high- and low-voltage applications. It is ideal for auxiliary and low-current distribution needs, ensuring seamless integration with key components like motors and batteries. With a continuous current capacity of 300A, the Mini PDU offers a robust and space-saving solution for various vehicle architectures.
For megawatt charging applications, the Epec Flow MCS PDU provides an advanced power distribution solution. It includes an integrated charging controller compliant with ISO 18115 (CCS/MCS DC charging), actively optimizing current flow. With a maximum charging capacity of 1,000A at 1,000V DC and peak current handling of 1,500A, it ensures reliable and high-efficiency energy transfer for next-generation electrified machinery.
Both PDUs are built for demanding environments with IP6K9K/IP67 protection ratings, ensuring durability and reliability.
