Electrification and autonomy: challenges for special application construction machinery
Experience has been available in the electrification of construction machinery for systems for many years. Global product strategy and standardization of electric components for minimum cost are essential as electrification is a major trend in Europe, the US and China. In-house production of key components is a key point to realize standardization and differentiation. In addition, demand and supply of electricity to the site, predicting peak time and urban network stability are all essential. Autonomous driving technology on the construction site is already available for large machinery, and the transfer to small and medium machinery is possible. Electrified, autonomous construction machinery is just one of several solutions.
